If you are feeling sluggish, low in energy, achy, and perhaps have overindulged recently, a great way to reset your nutrition and health is to do a detox! There are many different plans out there so it can get confusing. The good news is that you can do a simple detox right from home by nourishing the body with whole foods that contain B vitamins, antioxidants, amino acids and minerals to promote phase II detoxification pathways. While promoting cleansing the body, a healthy detox plan will also eliminate processed foods, refined sugar, animal products, gluten, and dairy.
Detoxing can also be fun! At our clinic, we swap out a cookie exchange for a soup exchange and partner it with a week of soup detoxing! You can simply each select a soup recipe and then bring enough to work for those participating and enjoy together! We focus on soup for lunch and then for those who want the hard-core soup detox you would add breakfast and dinner soups to complete your day!
No time to cook? Not to worry- you can also pick up ready-made-soups from my favorite places/companies like @officialfarmboy @happyplanetenergy @soup5539 (Amy’s Organic Soups)!
