Glow Smoothie

This smoothie is rich in nutrients to help your skin sparkle! Coconut water gets three stars to getting your glow on! Coconut water is hydrating, helps to oxygenate cells and is anti-microbial keeping your pores clear. Kale is a nutrtion powerhouse with just one cup giving you more than 100 percent of your Vitamin C and A needs. Vitamin C is a key nutrient in the production of collagen which gives our skin its firmness and strength, while Vitamin A is rich in carotenoids which help our skin glow. One cup of strawberries over 100 percent more of Vitamin C! Apples give you a fiber called pectin and the antioxidant quercitin, while Papaya contains the natural enzyme papain, helping you digest all these radiant nutrients and lastly beets help to support cleansing. Walnuts give you omega-3 fatty acids to help reduce inflammation. Drink this smoothie a few times a week and you’ll be glowing from the inside out!

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups coconut water
  • 1 cup kale
  • 1 apple, cored & rough chopped
  • 1 cup strawberries
  • ½ cup papaya, rough chopped
  • ½ small beet, stems removed, rough chopped
  • 2 Tbsp. walnuts

 

Directions:

  1. Place coconut water, kale, apple, strawberries, papaya, beets and walnuts in a blender. Blend until smooth.
  2. Pour your smoothie into glasses/mason jars and drink immediately or refrigerate in a sealed jar/container for up to 3 days.
