Green Dragon Smoothie

Green Dragon Smoothie

The Green Dragon Smoothie is a refreshing and nutritious drink that often includes green tea as a base ingredient, along with various fruits and vegetables. Incorporating green tea into a smoothie adds flavor and numerous health benefits. Here’s a look at the ingredients typically used in a Green Dragon Smoothie, as well as the benefits of including green tea.

This green dragon breathes detox fires that power up your body’s cleansing actions. Green tea is rich in polyphenols including the antioxidant, epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG), which helps your body get rid of free radicals. This dragon also likes the super food spinach, which provides the critical liver antioxidant glutathione (100 mg provides 166 mg!) Health Benefits of Green Tea

Improves Skin Health: The anti-inflammatory properties of green tea can be beneficial for skin health, helping to reduce redness and irritation.

Rich in Antioxidants: Green tea is high in catechins, particularly epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG), which helps neutralize free radicals and reduce oxidative stress.

Boosts Metabolism: Some studies suggest that green tea can help enhance metabolic rate and promote fat burning, making it a popular choice for those looking to lose weight or maintain a healthy weight.

Improves Brain Function: The caffeine and amino acid L-theanine in green tea may work together to improve brain function, including mood, memory, and reaction time.

Supports Heart Health: Regular consumption of green tea has been linked to a lower risk of cardiovascular diseases, potentially due to its ability to lower cholesterol levels and improve arterial function.

May Lower Cancer Risk: Some studies suggest that the antioxidants found in green tea may help lower the risk of certain cancers, though more research is needed in this area.

Promotes Oral Health: Green tea has antibacterial properties and may help reduce the risk of infections and improve dental health.
