SCHEDULING
Please note that a credit card on file is required to schedule an appointment and will be charged in the case of less than 48-hour notice of cancellation of an appointment. Appointments may be made by the following methods

PAYMENT
Payment is required at the time of service. For your convenience, we accept debit, E-transfer, Visa, or MasterCard.
NON-OHIP CLIENTS
Residents outside of Ontario and or non-OHIP clients are responsible to pay additional lab fees. Each lab location has their own administration fee that is paid to directly to them that varies dramatically. We suggest clarifying those fees directly with the lab location of your choice. We recommend using Dynacare as their fees tend to be lower. For Quebec residents you may be eligible for an RAMQ refund for a portion of this fee. Please ask at the lab that you are having your lab work at. Please note that this reimbursement may take up to 50 days. Please note that your fees pay for OHIP covered blood work and consults but DO NOT cover the cost of any supplements or bio-identical hormones.
CANCELLATION POLICY
We reserve scheduled appointments specifically for you. Because our visits last much longer than traditional doctor visits, cancellations/no-shows cause significant scheduling interruption. Please note that we require a minimum of 48-HOURS (2 business days and we are not open on weekends; thus for a Monday or Tuesday appointment we require notice by Thursday and Friday prior respectfully) notice by using our ONLINE BOOKING FUNCTION to prevent being charged the full amount of the visit. This allows live-time access to other patients who may be waiting. We will always attempt to contact you first before collecting fees to discuss any extenuating circumstances leading to the missed appointment.
RECEIPTS
Please keep all of your receipts for insurance and income tax purposes. There is a $25.00 minimum reissuing fee for copies.
LETTERS
All letters are $60/page and require 5 business days to complete.
PHOTOCOPIES
Photocopies up to 5 pages are included in each visit. Any additional photocopies required are invoiced at 10 cents/copy.
INSURANCE
OHIP: Currently OHIP does not cover Naturopathic, Nurse Practitioner, Nutrition, Chiropractic, or Osteopathic visits.
Medical Expenses: Naturopathic care is recognized in Ontario under medical practitioner for claiming medical expenses for tax purposes. The Naturopathic products are not eligible for the deduction, only services. Please see the CRA website for more details.
Private Insurance: Many private insurance companies do cover consultation visits. Laboratory tests may be covered under your private insurance plan while natural remedies are generally not covered under most insurance plans. Each person’s insurance plan may vary and thus we recommend checking your plan for details. Currently, OHIP does not cover Naturopathic, Chiropractic, Massage Therapy visits. You will be given a receipt of your services to submit to your insurance provider.

PATIENT COMMUNICATION
We encourage patients to call the office or direct message us through your Patient Portal with questions regarding your treatment plan. Our goal is to support your success, which relies on open lines of communication. Phone calls are returned by the end of the business day on which your call is received. We strive to respond to direct messages through the patient portal within 24-48 business hours. We do not provide after-hours or urgent care. Where required please go to your nearest emergency center.
EMAIL POLICY
Please be aware that electronic communication is only for brief clarification questions. New, detailed, or urgent concerns that require discussion and case management require an appointment. If there is a need for longer discussion regarding new symptoms or concerns, we will replay by the method that you have contacted us to recommend that you schedule a follow-up appointment, and fees will be applied accordingly at the appointment.
NATURAL SUPPLEMENT STORE
Home Delivery
We offer home delivery services from our natural supplement store. Delivery charges begin at $15.00 for local areas and $25.00 and up for further distance areas. Please note that these rates maybe subject to change based on courier fees, please check with reception for current pricing. Credit card payment is required for all deliveries. For same day service, orders must be placed and prepared before noon.
Supplement Orders
Any requests for Special Orders (Items we do not regularly stock) or requests to hold items for pick up must be pre-paid at the time of the request. We encourage you to call to request a refill of any of your pharmacy items before running out to allow us time to order your items. Any prescription items require a consultation before refills please allow 7-14 business days following your visit to receive your prescription. Note: BHRT hormone refills may take up to 3 weeks from your appointment to your receipt of hormones, thus please schedule your follow up visits at least 3 weeks before you run out of your prescription.
REFUND POLICY
Natural Supplement Store Return Policy
Applicable for all unopened supplements returned within thirty days. We cannot return any opened, custom, or specially formulated remedies, i.e. custom botanicals (liquids) or homeopathic remedies for health regulation purposes.
Lab Return Policy
We are happy to refund any ordered lab within thirty-days for any unused lab requisitions or test kits minus $50 admin fee. Any labs that have been performed are non-refundable. Once a lab has been requisitioned, your ordering practitioner is professionally bound to provide a follow-up consultation to review the results.
Consultations
We strive to make your visit optimal. We require a 2 working day cancellation of your appointment to be refunded, minus $50 admin fee. Once a claim has been submitted through an insurance provider, we cannot provide a refund. Some consultations, e.g hormone therapy are NON-REFUNDABLE.
