Kayla has a strong foundation in complementary alternative health approaches and integrative medicine. Services Kayla provides as an integrative medicines practitioner include hormone and nutritional optimization for menopausal women and other hormonal issues, such as polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS), testosterone placement therapy in men (TRT), low dose naltrexone (LDN), IV therapies, and medically supervised weight loss. She has undergone training with A4M, ACAM, ICIMED, Empire Medical, Functional Medicine University, Institute of Functional Medicine, and Dr. Rouzier World Link Medical in the areas of Functional Medicine and holds advanced certification in Bio-Identical Hormone Optimization. Kayla has developed extensive experience in the areas of women and sexual health, family medicine, cardiology, respiratory care, smoking cessation, and diabetes management. She has undergone many continuing education courses in the areas of Inflammatory Arthritis and Rheumatology, Dermatopathology, Diabetes Management, Public Health, Asthma, and COPD Management to be more effective in her role as a primary care clinician.

Kayla also has a strong dermatological background in both dermatopatho logical conditions and dermal aesthetics. Kayla has been a medical director and trainer for top cosmetic clinics in Toronto providing treatments for hair restoration and facial rejuvenation.

Kayla employs vibrational medicine and bodywork, holistic nutrition, exercise, dance, yoga, meditation, and stress reduction therapies in her personal and professional life

Coming from an African and Caribbean background where natural foods and herbal medicine are heavily emphasized and having been raised on a 60-acre organic farm in her youth, Kayla knew deeply that the practice of reactive medicine wasn’t something that she felt was making a difference in and wanted to increase her knowledge in integrative and preventative medicine to help her patients live healthier lives.

With more than 20 years of experience in healthcare, Kayla has seen firsthand the ravaging effects of disease on the body that is caused by poor nutrition and a sedentary lifestyle. She has worked in the areas of cardiology, oncology, and emergency medicine—and wanted to understand better how to prevent diseases.

This led Kayla Adebajo on a journey to find other alternatives in healing and medicine early on in her nursing career. She first studied holistic nutrition, energy medicine, bodywork and Reiki Sciences and then obtained her licence as a Reiki Master Practitioner.

In order to quench her curiosity about Eastern Medicine, Kayla embarked on a journey and moved to the West Coast to pursue a further nursing education and to learn more about holistic nutrition, vegetarianism/veganism, Buddhism, permaculture, spirituality, meditation/yoga, Qi Gong and Tai Chi.

While living in beautiful British Columbia, Kayla continued to study alternative health approaches completing certificate sand training in medical herbology, medical aromatherapy and nutraceuticals. She has also taken courses in bodywork such as Feldenkrais, Rolfing, and craniosacral therapy to get a better understanding of different modalities of healing.

Kayla’s vast experiences have enabled her to provide a holistic approach incorporating preventative and integrative health services into her patient treatment plans. She also practices medical acupuncture and is knowledgeable in the use of adaptogens and nutritional supplements to complement her practice in family medicine and primary care.

She has recently been trained in IV nutritional and vitamin therapies and again has just returned from an ozone and nutritional interventions therapies conference with Dr. Schallenberger in Nevada.

Kayla can often be found continuing her training by attending more courses to round out her continually growing scope of practice with a smile!
